Key Worker Living

The Key Worker Living scheme is designed to help certain categories of public sector employees in London, the South East and East of England to buy a home, to upgrade to a family home or to rent a home at an affordable price.

The scheme is restricted to these regions because they are identified as having a lack of affordable housing, thus making it difficult to recruit and retain certain vital public sector employees, such as emergency service workers, police officers and teachers.

Eligibility is limited to vital public sector employees.
